I'm Mark Sheeky, I am an artist and programmer.
Game programming was my first love as a child and I began programming in BASIC in 1983. I developed 20 Amiga games from 1991 to 1997, then Windows PC games from 1998 to 2006, with my last original game being Gunstorm II.
My PC games use my own game engine, Hector, and a custom 3D format. I also designed the 3D texturing software I use, and developed my advanced music software, as well as creating the game art, music, and sound effects.
My sound effects library began in 2002 and now includes over 8000 original sounds specifically made for games. I list some sounds here and I have a separate itch page for my IndieSFX Game Sound Effects Library: https://indiesfx.itch.io.
I work as a music and visual artist now (yes - you too can follow me on Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.) but I continue to update my games regularly, often adding features, or remastering the graphics and audio for modern computers. I scrape a living as an artist. I spend all of my time and life working on personal creative projects on limited resources. All donations really make a difference.
