Roton (PC)

Roton is 2D space-shooter for Windows.

Use the mouse to control your Manta and battle wave upon wave of surreal enemies.

Roton is a conversion of the Amiga game Roton, and is one of several mouse-controlled 'circle shooters' from my game canon. This evolutionary tree led to Gunstorm and Gunstorm II, 3D versions which use a similar game metric. Outliner (on Amiga and PC) also use this metric, and the control system used in Flatspace was directly inspired by it.

Roton was my first full-screen PC game, written in 1999 and originally bundled with Trax and Martian Rover Patrol on CD-ROM. Updated in 2023 for modern computers. Full pdf manual included.

The 2023 remastered recording of the main game theme, Roton Jungle, is available as a bonus.

Making games was a big part of my life for many years, and I would like to make all of my back-catalogue available and working correctly on modern computers. Money from sales and donations here helps fund this goal.
